Latest On The NBA Lockout: No Resolutions In Sight

Sigh. So the NBA's powers that be gathered this week and this is what happened:

In short, nearly the worst kind of news. The NBA and NBPA met for another long mediated session Thursday. The result? At around 7:35 EST Adam Silver and Peter Holt held a press conference to announce that talks have broken down and no further meetings are scheduled.

Silver would not confirm any further cancelations of games, but the mood is extremely grim.

Silver did confirm that the issue that lead to the breakdown between the owners and union was back to BRI. There had been a significant amount of talk about the issues being systemic issues, particularly the luxury tax and revenue sharing. Silver revealed that the union had lowered its offer to 52.5 percent of BRI, with the owners holding the line at 50/50, still.

Ken Berger reported Monday that the owners’ 50/50 offer was back to a 49-51 range. The question is whether the concessions made in the systemic issues pushed the players back to a flat 50/50. Silver also said that the two sides were “far apart” on systemic issues.

Silver told reporters that the players in essence wanted a trade-off. In essence, if the players were conceding on BRI, they wanted more from the systemic issues.

Lil' Wayne Working On Sequels To 'I Am Not A Human Being' & 'Rebirth'

This man sure loves his sequels....in a recent interview Young Money's 2nd man in charge Mack Maine let the cat out of the bag about Weezy trying his hand at repeats of the two projects. Check out the scoop via Rap-Up.com:

Mack Maine revealed that Weezy is working on a follow-up to his rock albumRebirth and hip-hop project I Am Not a Human Being. “He’s, like, 12 songs in, and it’s crazy. He went left. He’s in Martian land right now,” the Young Moneypresident told MTV News of Human Being 2.

While both albums did not achieve as much commercial success as Tha Carterseries, Weezy uses them as an outlet to express his different tastes. “He gets to show his rock side, he gets to show the gangsta side and talk to the women on one side,” said Mack. “On I Am Not a Human Being, he is definitely showing some weirdo, left-brain, I’m-not-from-here type side. He can say what he wants. There’s no boundaries or limits.”

The diverse music will appeal to his various fan bases. “You have different audiences and different preferences, different demographics of people that like to hear different music,” he added. “He captures all those different audiences and then at a concert or a show, you bring all those different people together. You bring your Rebirth rock people, you bring your Carter people, and you bring your I Am Not a Human Being [crowd], and you have a great show. That’s why we sell out arenas every night.”

Not sure about this route for Weezy, but when you're a man of his status I guess you can do whatever you please musically, whether they're mistakes or not. What do you guys think? Are you looking forward to the sequels?

Update: Rick Ross' Memphis Show Back On!

Boss wasted no time getting back to the money after having quite the medical scare yesterday. Ricky suffered 2 seizures on his private plane causing the flights to be grounded in Alabama so that medical attention could be rendered. Still no explanation on what prompted the attacks but the Ross is apparently doing okay and rescheduled his Memphis show for tonight. I hope he really is okay. No rush needed because true fans understand!

What a scare the whole MMG had today! While on a flight to Memphis earlier today, Rick Ross fell into a seizure and even a state of unconsciousness! Paramedics were rushed to the scene and a doctor performed CPR on the hip hop mogul who is doing okay according to his DJ, Sam Sneak who tweeted about the boss' condition a few moments ago:

I wonder what prompted this?! Either way, I'm glad Ricky is in good standings. Love and prayers boss!

UPDATE: Ross reportedly suffered a SECOND seizure and is in stable condition. The show he was scheduled to perform at in Memphis is now cancelled. Get well soon Rozay and take care of yourself! You're needed!

Rihanna Gets In Trouble For Grabbing Strippers Inappropriately?!

Rihanna got in trouble for “repeatedly touching” lap dancers in a strip club. The ‘S&M’ hitmaker allegedly angered security guards at Stringfellows in London during a visit with her ex-boyfriend Matt Kemp on Wednesday because she couldn’t keep her hands off the topless performers and even put her head between one of the dancers’ legs.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Rihanna couldn’t resist paying for a dance and loved watching the girls in action. But the guards weren’t happy as she was repeatedly touching them, ignoring all the warnings. “At one point she thrust her head between the legs of one of the dancers.”

The 23-year-old pop superstar and the baseball player partied until 2am in a private booth, where they were joined by celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan and retired world heavyweight champion boxer David Haye.

Earlier in the night, Rihanna – who was named Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive 2011 earlier this week – sang Guns N’ Roses songs at the Nove Karaoke Bar in London’s West End.

The sexy singer – who is in the U.K. on tour – went to the bar with several of her staff to celebrate a crew member’s birthday and she treated the party to beers and vodka shots and food including pizza and garlic bread.

Rihanna couldn’t stop grabbing the microphone and also performed renditions of her own tracks and Kings of Leon’s ‘Sex on Fire’.
